"All I needed was the Truth" Greetings Everyone, While the formation of the band is relatively new, the lead singer/songwriter Jon Tierney is no stranger to the music scene of New England. Establishing himself early in the nineties as a supreme songwriter, Jon has a strong resume and a catalog of over 100 original songs. From his early days playing open mikes at area coffee houses in Rhode Island such as The Cav and Bar One, to his performances at many bars and clubs in the area (Lupos , The Living Room, The Safari Lounge, and The Met Cafe), Jon has astounded audiences with his strong vocals and relevant lyrics throughout the years. He has played at many music festivals in and around New England, most notably at Western New England College in Western MA, and Earth Day events at Lyndon State College in Vermont. He was the winner of the Big Noise Song Slam in 1997 held at AS220. Jon also recorded at Normandy Studios, working with engineer Phil Green. Since forming early this year, Jon Tierney and The Truth have been hard at work creating a sound that is like no other, for it is unique, blending a classic blues, folk, and rock sound together with lyrics that convey a strong, timely message.
